The contraction of the money supply with the resultant national (and global poverty), along with the failure of “mom and pop” stores and small businesses to prosper is because of the "two loop system"—where the self-created upper loop elite gain from all the printing of money—but none is available for the lower loop—i.e., the rest of us—Humanity:

Social Credit is not about the printing of money, but about dividends on a prospering economy—the prosperity which all becomes self-perpetuating as the beauty of Social of Credit itself.  However, what we find necessary are two components for the Perfect People’s Economy:

1) Lincoln’s “Greenbacks”—the printing of our own money without interest (or the attachment to gold), and

2), Social Credit—the device to keep overbearing greed in check, or what we know as vulture capitalism, or monolithic monopoly business from consuming everyone and everything in the economy (and world) through diminishing our choices and thinking.

Lincoln’s Greenbacks, as the first component of the Perfect People's Economy, are for the free-flow of money itself as the medium of exchange—following how the American Colonies did it without over printing:

Social Credit, as the second component to the Perfect People's Economy, is for the purpose of the dividend adjuster to offset poor wages or no wages—which totally eliminates:

a) the possibility of the vulture capitalists and usurers (the soulless and backward criminal class) from stealing Human labor and the consequent life, liberty and happiness of The People, as well as:

b)  the divisions between business and labor where neither has to exist at the expense of the other.

With Lincoln’s Greenbacks and Social Credit as the two components for the Perfect People’s Economy, everyone, even at the bare minimum, will have food, clothing and shelter:

The homeless and unemployed will now be the lower middle class, and the working poor will have a chance to uplift themselves into the middle class.

The educated middle classes can now have a failsafe system to keep them there—allowing them to go on and do better and greater things for the world, or to simply follow their passion.

With Social Credit being used to offset the undesirable world of greed and domination in the above way, people cease to exist in the chains of economic slavery while still having the all important work ethic to develop them into better and greater Human beings.

Of further importance, with Lincoln's Greenbacks, the middle classes are no longer raped by usurious income taxes.
